When UPLIFT Desk collaborated with Arrow Child & Family Ministries to redesign its workspace, the primary goal was to create an environment that would help staff in their work with children and families.
Arrow Child & Family Ministries, established in Texas in 1992 by a former foster youth, operates as a nonprofit organization across Texas and Maryland. The group focuses on stable placements, family services, and support for children in foster care. As the organization expanded its reach, it recognized the need for workspaces that could better serve staff working on emotionally demanding cases.
UPLIFT Desk offered complimentary design and space-planning services for this initiative. The project emphasized several priorities: supporting employee well-being and productivity; providing flexible environments suitable for training, teamwork, and private conversations; and selecting finishes and layouts that contribute to a welcoming yet professional atmosphere.
The design team incorporated warm wood tones, sit-stand desks, and privacy panels to enable smooth transitions between confidential meetings and collaborative sessions. Attention was also given to durability and ergonomic features to ensure comfort during daily use.
According to Arrow’s leadership, the new workspace aligns with their mission of strengthening families by also focusing on supporting the professionals who deliver these services. “The new workspace reinforces that philosophy by providing staff with the tools, comfort, and functionality needed to sustain long-term mission effectiveness.”
UPLIFT Desk stated that whether serving nonprofits like Arrow or larger enterprises, its aim is always to create work environments that improve both organizational results and employee experience. “This project reflects that commitment—building a space that enables meaningful impact, every day.”
