Wise, a global technology company focused on international money transfers and management, has expanded its North American office hub in Austin. The company has increased its workspace by 200% to a total of 90,000 square feet, now occupying three floors in the Domain area. This move is part of Wise’s ongoing growth in North America and reflects Austin’s appeal as a location for technology companies.

The expansion comes as Wise responds to growing demand from customers in the United States who are seeking alternatives to traditional wire transfers and international money movement options that often involve high fees and slow processing times. With more than 700 employees across the U.S., Wise continues hiring for various roles at its Austin office, which houses teams involved in engineering, product development, marketing, and customer support.

Isabel Naidoo, Chief People Officer at Wise, said: “The expansion of our Austin office hub is a powerful testament to the opportunity we have in North America. Austin’s dynamic and developing technology landscape serves as an exciting backdrop that will support the Wise team as we continue to build offerings that meet the international money needs of our growing customer base both locally and globally.”

The new space incorporates features intended to foster innovation and reflect both Wise’s global culture and local Austin character. The office includes collaborative workspaces, individual areas for focused work, wellness facilities such as a multi-faith prayer room and massage chairs, and design elements inspired by local landmarks like the State Capitol building. Murals created by employees’ children featuring Austin’s bats further connect the company’s mission with the city’s identity.

Wise marked this milestone with an event attended by company leadership and members of Austin’s business community. Participants included representatives from Opportunity Austin, the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, and the Austin Technology Council. Mayor Kirk Watson joined virtually with remarks about Wise’s impact on the city’s tech sector: “Texas is committed to supporting global success stories like Wise as they grow their presence in the US. Wise is a great example of the kind of innovative, high-growth businesses that make Austin a leading hub for tech companies. Its success highlights the strength of our ecosystem – one that fosters entrepreneurship, attracts investments and creates high-skilled jobs. It demonstrates that Austin remains one of the best places to start and grow a business.”

With this investment in its infrastructure at The Domain—one of Austin’s main innovation centers—Wise aims to strengthen its ability to serve customers needing improved solutions for managing money internationally.
