The Texas Real Estate Commission announced on Apr. 7 that license holders can update their business contact information and legal name through the Real Estate and Appraiser License Management (REALM) Portal.

Accurate records are important for ensuring that licensees receive critical communications and maintain compliance with licensing requirements.

To make changes, users are instructed to log in to their REALM Portal account, navigate to the Licenses tab, select Amendment, and then choose Update Contact Info/Legal Name Change from the Type of Change Request dropdown menu. On the following screen, individuals may edit their legal name, business phone number, or email address by clicking Review and Remove. They can also add or update physical addresses using the Actions button.

The commission advises reviewing all updates for accuracy before submitting requests. Submitting incorrect or incomplete information could delay processing or affect a licensee’s ability to receive notifications.

Maintaining current contact details helps ensure uninterrupted communication between license holders and the commission.
