The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has released its 2025 Annual Report, which reviews the performance and challenges of public education in Texas. The report covers the experiences of more than 5.5 million students and their teachers across the state.
Texas Education Commissioner Mike Morath stated, “Every day, educators, families and communities across Texas are working together to help students succeed. This year’s Annual Report reflects that shared commitment and highlights the progress we are making to improve student achievement, support teachers and expand educational opportunities so that every Texas student, no matter their background, can reach their full potential.”
According to TEA, the annual publication is intended as a resource for policymakers, educators, families, community members and media outlets. It provides an overview of statewide education trends and details how TEA is supporting schools while working to improve student outcomes. The report includes key performance data and points out areas where further investment or focus may be needed to ensure all students have access to quality education.
In addition to the main report, TEA has published the 2024-25 Pocket Edition. This supplement compiles public school statistics such as student demographics and information on teachers and staff into a single document for easy reference.
Both the 2025 Annual Report and the 2024-25 Pocket Edition are now available for review.
