TCEQ approves over $570,000 in fines for environmental regulation violations

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has approved penalties amounting to $457,872 against 13 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations. The enforcement actions include agreed orders for violations in air quality, industrial and municipal wastewater discharge, petroleum storage tanks, public water systems, and water quality. Default orders were also issued in multi-media and petroleum storage tank categories.

Additionally, the TCEQ executive director approved penalties totaling $115,746 against 36 entities on September 30 and October 7, 2025.
