The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has approved penalties totaling $1,396,137 against 43 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations. The enforcement actions covered a range of categories including air quality, industrial hazardous waste, industrial wastewater discharges, multi-media violations, municipal solid waste, municipal wastewater discharges, petroleum storage tanks, public water systems, sludge management, water quality and water rights.
Additionally, on November 25, December 2 and December 16, the executive director approved further penalties amounting to $279,423 against 88 entities.
