The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality approved on April 30 penalties totaling $704,099 against 28 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

The commission issued agreed orders in several enforcement categories, including nine air quality cases, one multi-media case, twelve municipal wastewater discharges, five public water systems cases, and one sludge case. Additionally, the executive director approved penalties amounting to $97,111 against 32 entities on April 20 and April 28.
