Take Care of Texas has announced the start of the second year of its Ambassador Program, selecting 22 educators from across the state to participate in the 2025-2026 school year. The program aims to provide these K-12 science educators with resources and knowledge to promote environmental awareness among their colleagues and administrators.
The chosen ambassadors are expected to use lesson plans provided by Take Care of Texas and share information about the program’s initiatives and contests with both students and fellow teachers statewide. They will also offer feedback on educational materials to help improve the program’s offerings.
Participants in this year’s class include teachers from a range of schools and organizations, such as Canyon Middle School, All Saints Episcopal School Tyler, Little Elm High School, Sparks Elementary School, Edward Roberson Middle School, Robert L. Crippen Elementary School, Meyerland Middle School, W.H. Adamson High School, Central Heights Middle School, Francisco Farias Elementary School, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Sunfield Elementary School, Blanco River Academy, Vista del Sol Environmental Science Academy, Canyon Lake High School, Harmony School of Endeavor, O’Connell College Preparatory School, Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary, University of Houston-Clear Lake, Cleburne ISD, Samuel Clemens High School and Porter Early College High School.
According to Take Care of Texas: “The ambassadors are K-12 science educators who are passionate about protecting the Texas environment and willing to provide feedback to improve Take Care of Texas educational resources. Over the 2025-2026 school year, the ambassadors will utilize provided lesson plans and share information about the program and its contests with colleagues and students across the state.”
