Brokers using the REALM Portal now have access to updated tools for managing brokerage operations, including features for delegation and supervision. The portal allows brokers to assign delegated supervisors, though the broker retains full legal responsibility for all supervisory duties as required by law.
Delegated supervisors can be assigned, edited, or removed within the system. However, this does not shift ultimate responsibility from the broker. Brokers may also authorize delegates to assist with administrative tasks such as account management and application submissions. These delegates cannot assume legal responsibility or override statutory obligations; all actions taken under a broker’s license remain the broker’s responsibility.
The REALM Portal offers several functions for updating business information. Brokers can update or add alternate names by logging into their accounts and following a step-by-step process in the “My Records” section. Similarly, assumed business names—also known as DBAs—can be added, updated, or removed through an amendment request in the “Licenses” section of the portal. An assumed name allows a broker to operate under a different name than their licensed one.
The portal provides options to download sponsorship history, giving brokers access to records of current and past sponsored sales agents. This feature supports internal compliance checks and audit documentation needs. If discrepancies are found in sponsorship records, brokers are encouraged to contact support with relevant details.
Terminating sponsorships is managed through an online amendment process where brokers input license numbers and complete the submission steps electronically.
Brokers can also add or update team names associated with their brokerage through the portal. Team names must meet advertising and naming requirements, and brokers remain responsible for ensuring compliance.
For license renewals, brokers are advised to submit renewal applications even if continuing education credits have not yet posted; no deferral fees will be charged during ongoing integration periods, and licenses will remain active under any applicable grace period.
Common questions addressed include delegate permissions—which depend on settings chosen during authorization—and clarification that team names differ from DBAs and do not allow teams to advertise independently of their sponsoring broker.
Technical issues should be reported via email after reviewing available video guides and FAQs on the REALM Portal updates page.
