A mansion in Plano, Texas, has been sold for a listing price of $7.5 million after several years on and off the market. The six-bedroom, nine-bathroom property at 6509 Sudbury Road was one of the highest-priced residential listings in Texas in December, according to the Houston Association of Realtors.

The home covers approximately 13,000 square feet on a 0.86-acre lot. Designed by Simmie Cooper, known for projects in Dallas’ Park Cities neighborhoods, the house features architectural elements inspired by traditional European villas combined with modern touches. Notable features include fluted columns at the entrance and throughout the halls, a Swarovski chandelier in the primary suite, and a dance room equipped with an illuminated floor and disco ball.

Public records indicate that Rahim and Salima Dhanani were the sellers. The buyer is listed as the Andrew J. McFaul Trust. Compass agent Jackie Dorbritz represented the sellers; no agent represented the buyer, according to Redfin.

While luxury homes in Plano are often outpaced by those in Dallas’ Park Cities area when it comes to high sale prices, this property’s asking price placed it near the top of Plano’s current market. Only one other home in Plano is listed higher: a $12.8 million mansion at 6413 Old Gate Road.

The property had previously been listed multiple times between 2020 and 2024 with asking prices ranging from $6.9 million to $7.2 million before its most recent listing in December.

In recent years, Collin County has seen record-breaking residential sales. In 2025, BuzzBalls founder Merrilee Kick purchased an estate at 5805 Red Wolf Lane for $15.9 million—setting a new county record and making it the only Plano home among that year’s top ten luxury sales in Dallas-Fort Worth.

The final sale price of the Sudbury Road mansion was not disclosed.
