Partners Real Estate has appointed Peter Mainguy as executive managing director for its services business in Texas. The company announced that Mainguy will oversee brokerage, property management, valuation, and project management from the firm’s Houston headquarters. He will also become an equity partner at Partners.
Mainguy joins Partners after nearly ten years at CBRE, where he was senior managing director for the Houston and Louisiana markets. Before his tenure at CBRE, he led global real estate operations at Sysco Corporation, managing a portfolio of 46 million square feet across North America, Europe, and Asia. According to LinkedIn, this marks Mainguy’s second period with CBRE; earlier, he served as vice president of brokerage services before moving to Sysco.
The firm stated: “Mainguy’s hire reflects Partners’ effort to expand across the Lone Star State and cement its presence on the national stage.”
Mainguy will work closely with John O’Neill, who leads the Southeast region for Partners and is a former Cushman & Wakefield executive.
This leadership appointment follows recent recruitment moves by Partners Real Estate. In March, the firm added Chip Colvill, Michael Anderson, Win Haggard, and Damon Thames as equity partners after hiring them from Cushman & Wakefield. Brad Beasley, Diana Bridger, and Connor Saxe also joined as senior vice presidents. Colvill heads the new team and previously founded Colvill Office Properties before it was acquired by Cushman & Wakefield in 2020.
Partners Real Estate is a privately-owned commercial real estate company founded in 1997. The firm operates throughout the Sun Belt with offices in Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, and Atlanta. Alongside its services division, Partners has investment and development arms that have delivered industrial, retail, and office properties across the Texas Triangle.
