Kerry Krottinger, a North Texas oilman, investor, and trophy hunter, purchased a mansion in the Vaquero Club subdivision of Westlake through his Lotus Petroleum Company last week, according to public records dated Mar. 30. The property at 1121 Post Oak Place was sold by Anthony and Anne Barone. The final sale price was not disclosed.

The purchase highlights continued interest in luxury real estate within affluent Metroplex suburbs. The five-bedroom, five-bathroom home was built in 2012 and covers 10,365 square feet on a 1.2-acre lot. Hardwood and stone are prominent throughout the interior design, with some rooms featuring full wood paneling.

According to Redfin, the house left the market in December after being listed for $11 million. Prior to that date, it had been offered at $11.3 million since September 2024 during several brief listing periods; this amounts to about $1,060 per square foot based on its most recent asking price.

Lotus Petroleum has previously bought and sold properties in Quail Hollow—a luxury development established in 2015 where Krottinger resides—though public records show that the Post Oak Place home is currently the only property under Lotus’s name within Tarrant County.

From 2018 to 2020, Lotus owned another Westlake property at 1888 Lakeshore Drive; this residence is now listed for $19 million by the STK Joint Revocable Trust and recently ranked as one of Texas’s most expensive residential listings for March according to data from the Houston Association of Realtors.

Westlake remains a popular destination for executives relocating to North Texas due to its proximity to major corporations such as Toyota, Bell, and Lockheed Martin said Troy George—co-owner and broker of Synergy Realty whose partner Lucy Noonan managed the listing when it was on market.

Notable residents have included political commentator Glenn Beck who sold his own Vaquero Club estate last October after listing it for $11.8 million.

Beyond his business ventures in oil and real estate investment activities via Lotus Petroleum Company, Krottinger is also known for hunting; National Geographic published images of his Dallas taxidermy-filled home following Cecil the Lion’s death in 2015—a move that drew criticism from animal rights activists.
