Lennar Homes purchased fifteen lots in the latest phase of Whitewing Trails, an 850-acre master-planned community developed by Centurion American in Princeton, Texas, according to public records on Apr. 16.

The sale marks the first acquisition of homesites in the third phase of Whitewing Trails, which is planned for a total of 100 homes across a 30-acre area. The development is expected to ultimately feature about 2,500 single-family residences and approximately 400 multifamily units. This follows earlier phases where other builders such as D.R. Horton, Pulte Homes and Beazer Homes acquired lots.

Centurion American’s Mehrdad Moayedi said that about 2,000 lots have been developed so far within Whitewing Trails. “Princeton is a great place for the type of homes that we build,” Moayedi said.

Homes in the initial phase began selling in 2021 after Centurion acquired the land from Arizona-based Macavity Co. Residential lots in this third phase range from around 6,000 square feet to just over 10,000 square feet each.

In addition to ongoing development at Whitewing Trails, Centurion American has another project underway in Princeton and is considering adding a third. The company also sold a separate parcel north of Whitewing Trails to D.R. Horton last year.

Princeton experienced significant growth recently; its population increased by more than thirty percent to reach approximately thirty-seven thousand residents last year—more than double its size four years prior—which led city officials to temporarily halt new developments between September last year and November this year.
