IKEA U.S. has launched its first cross-brand retail experience in select Best Buy stores in Texas and Florida. The initiative aims to make IKEA products more affordable and accessible to customers by offering a combined shopping experience.

On November 5, 2025, IKEA South Austin at Best Buy opened a Plan and order point at 4970 W Highway 290, Austin, TX 78735. This partnership allows IKEA to offer kitchen planning services to a wider audience and enables customers to integrate Best Buy appliances into their IKEA kitchens.

The shop-in-shop is staffed with IKEA employees who assist customers in designing spaces while shopping for appliances such as refrigerators, microwaves, ranges, dishwashers, and washer-dryers. The showroom covers 1,000 square feet and features kitchen and laundry room displays.

According to the companies, this shared retail space reflects their commitment to meeting customer needs by providing home furnishing solutions alongside appliances in one location. “The difference is that instead of taking home IKEA products with you, you discover your look and style for your living space, design it with the help of an IKEA associate and then have the affordable home furnishings or furniture shipped directly to your residence.”

More information about the new location can be found on the Plan & order point in South Austin, TX – IKEA website.
