Registration is now open for the 2026 Veteran’s Advocate Training, which will be held from February 8 to 13, 2026, at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland. The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Veteran Services Department announced that members interested in participating must submit their registration by Monday, December 15, 2025.

The training program offers instruction on U.S. Veterans Affairs benefits delivered by certified professionals. Members who complete the course will join the IAM-wide Veteran Service Officer (VSO) team, which is a network of trained advocates prepared to assist IAM members who are U.S. military veterans.

According to the department, “Through this course, members acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to assist veterans in navigating the often-complex VA benefits system, ensuring that our brothers and sisters who served receive the support, resources, and respect they deserve.”

Details regarding tuition, transportation, and curriculum are included in the call letter sent out by IAM.

For further information or questions about registration, individuals can contact the IAM Veteran Services Department at 301-967-4500.
