IAM District 837 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) and Boeing Defense are set to resume negotiations on Monday. The talks will take place with the assistance of a federal mediator, according to a statement released by IAM District 837.
“The bargaining committees for Boeing and IAM 837 have agreed to return to negotiations on Monday with the help of a federal mediator in an effort to find a path to end the strike,” the statement said.
IAM represents about 600,000 active and retired members across North America. Its membership includes workers from sectors such as aerospace, defense, airlines, shipbuilding, rail, transit, healthcare, automotive, and other industries.
