Governor Greg Abbott reappointed Manoranjan “Mano” Mahadeva to the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners for a term set to expire on February 1, 2027, according to a Mar. 26 announcement. The council is responsible for supporting the boards that license and regulate physical therapy and occupational therapy practitioners in Texas.
The appointment is significant because the council plays a key role in protecting public health by ensuring only qualified professionals provide physical and occupational therapy services across the state.
Mahadeva, who lives in Frisco, is the former CEO of Millennium Physician Association. He holds memberships with several professional organizations including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He has also served as president for local civic groups such as Plano Metro Rotary Club and Plano Early Lions, and was board chair at Leadership Plano. His educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from The University of Texas at Dallas and an MBA from East Texas A&M University.
