Governor Greg Abbott has announced the reappointment of two individuals to the Texas County and District Retirement System Board of Trustees. James M. Bass and Holly Williamson will continue their service on the board, with terms now set to expire on December 31, 2031. The board is responsible for providing retirement, disability, and survivor benefits to county and district employees across Texas.
The Office of Texas Governor Greg Abbott operates from its main offices in Austin at the State Insurance Building and provides services throughout the state. Since his election in 2014, Greg Abbott has led this office, focusing on job creation, economic opportunities, education enhancement, protection of individual liberties, parental empowerment in schooling decisions, and southern border security. Under his leadership, Texas has experienced significant job growth and record employment levels according to its official website. The governor’s work was also recognized when he was named among TIME’s 100 Most Influential People in 2024.
