Governor Greg Abbott highlighted the significance of student participation in TPUSA Club America chapters on high school campuses throughout Texas. Speaking at an event attended by Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, TPUSA Senior Director Josh Thifault, Texas Education Agency (TEA) Commissioner Mike Morath, and other officials, Abbott stressed the need for such organizations.
“There has been no moment in time during the course of this century when there was such an urgency and a need for an organization like TPUSA and Club America,” said Governor Abbott. “They have helped to restore moral clarity, constitutional principles, and our founding values. I am grateful for the young men and women behind me and their peers across the state for stepping up and identifying themselves as the future leaders of the Lone Star State.”
Abbott also acknowledged Charlie Kirk’s influence on strengthening conservative youth movements nationwide. He noted that Texas currently leads all states in the number of Club America chapters and pledged support for further growth of these clubs in schools statewide.
The governor emphasized that any schools obstructing Club America programs should be reported to the TEA for investigation and possible disciplinary measures.
