Governor Greg Abbott has named Joshlin “Josh” Lewis and Michael Lucci to the Texas Advisory Committee on Geopolitical Conflict. Their terms will run until September 1, 2027. The committee is tasked with developing strategies and policies for state security ahead of potential geopolitical conflicts, as well as gathering information to help improve Texas’ command-and-control operations if such events occur.
Lewis, from Ovilla, works as senior director of network quality at Optimum and has served in the United States Air Force since 1999. He is involved with several organizations including the National Guard Association of Texas, the National Guard Association of the United States, and the International Information System Security Certification Consortium. In addition to his professional roles, Lewis volunteers as a small group leader at Midlothian Bible Church. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Lamar University, a Master of Business Administration from Webster University, and a National Security Management Certification from Syracuse University.
Lucci, who lives in Leander, is chief executive officer of State Armor Research and State Armor Action. He previously chaired the board of directors for Chicago Virtual Charter School. Lucci holds a Bachelor of Arts in Honors Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame.
