Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Patrick Fertitta to the University of Houston System Board of Regents. Fertitta’s term will run through August 31, 2027.

Patrick Fertitta is based in Houston and serves as director of Fertitta Entertainment. In this role, he oversees global operations in dining, hospitality, entertainment, and gaming businesses. These include the Houston Rockets basketball team, Landry’s restaurant group, and Golden Nugget Casinos.

Fertitta also holds a position as an alternate governor on the National Basketball Association Board of Governors. He is a director at Space City Home Network and Clutch City Foundation. In addition to his business roles, he supports local charitable efforts through Big Brothers Big Sisters Houston, Houston Children’s Charity, and serves on the Chariots for Children Expansion Committee. He earned his business degree from the University of Southern California.
