Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Neyma Figueroa to the Texas Energy Reliability Council. Her term will last at the discretion of the Governor. The Council was created to help ensure that Texas’s energy and electric sectors can meet important human needs, address key infrastructure issues, and improve coordination and communication within the industries.

Neyma Figueroa, who is based in San Antonio, is currently an attorney and senior counsel at Valero Energy Corporation. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and The William N. Sessions American Inn of Court. Figueroa also volunteers with several organizations, including the Valero Texas Open, San Antonio Academy, and First Presbyterian Church of San Antonio.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from New Mexico State University and earned her law degree from Baylor University School of Law.
