Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Marco Trevino to the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners. Trevino’s term will last until February 1, 2029. The board oversees the regulation of social work practice in Texas.

Marco Trevino is from Edinburg and works as a licensed clinical social worker at Alivio Counseling Services, P.C. He currently serves as board president of the Community Council of the Rio Grande Valley. He is also a member of both the National Association of Social Workers and the American Red Cross. Trevino holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in social work from the University of Texas – Pan American.
