Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Kenneth Cusick as the Galveston County Criminal District Attorney. Cusick’s term will run until December 31, 2026, or until a successor is elected and qualified.

Kenneth Cusick is currently an assistant U.S. attorney for the United States Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Texas. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1990. Cusick is a member of the State Bar of Texas. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Texas A&M University and holds a Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law.

“Governor Greg Abbott appointed Kenneth Cusick as the Galveston County Criminal District Attorney for a term set to expire on December 31, 2026, or until his successor shall be duly elected and qualified.”
