Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Judy Parker as Chief Justice of the Seventh Court of Appeals. Her term will last until December 31, 2026.

Parker is currently serving as the Place 2 Justice on the Seventh Court of Appeals. She is a founding member and judicial master of the Texas Tech University (TTU) School of Law American Inn of Court. She also serves as a director for the Panhandle Family Law Association. In addition, Parker holds memberships with several professional organizations including the State Bar of Texas, Lubbock Area Bar Association, The Federalist Society, and Amarillo Area Bar Association.

Her community involvement includes being a trustee for The CH Foundation and a sustaining member of the Junior League of Lubbock. She is also affiliated with First Baptist Church in Lubbock. Parker earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and Government from Angelo State University and her Juris Doctor from TTU School of Law.
