Governor Greg Abbott has appointed four individuals to the Texas Municipal Retirement System Board of Trustees. Bryan Langley and Isaac Tawil have been appointed for terms ending February 1, 2031, while Jaime Reyes, II and Pamela Williams will serve terms ending February 1, 2027. The Board is responsible for overseeing the retirement benefit plan for eligible employees in more than 800 cities across Texas.
Bryan Langley, from Kyle, currently serves as the city manager of Kyle. He is affiliated with the Texas City Management Association and the International City/County Management Association. Langley holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Texas, as well as a Master of Science in Accounting from The University of Texas at Dallas.
Isaac Tawil, based in McAllen, is the city manager for McAllen and a member of the State Bar of Texas. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UT Austin and a Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University.
Jaime Reyes, II, from Melissa, serves as assistant fire chief for the City of Plano. He is involved with several organizations, including the Plano Firefighters Association, the Texas State Association of Firefighters, the Texas Fire Chiefs Association, and the International Association of Fire Chiefs. Reyes received his Bachelor of Science in Community Health from Texas A&M University and a Master of Public Administration/Emergency Management from Sam Houston State University.
Pamela Williams, residing in Hawley, is director of human resources for the City of Abilene. She is active in professional groups such as the Texas Municipal Human Resource Association, International City/County Management Association, Society for Human Resource Management, and serves on the board of directors for United Way. Williams earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Texas A&M University and her Master of Science from Abilene Christian University.
