Marks is a housing consultant for Solitaire Homes of Lufkin and holds a license from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs as a manufactured homes sales consultant. He serves on the board of Junior Achievement of Angelina County and the Huntington Youth Softball Association. Marks is also involved with several local organizations, including the Lufkin Lions Club, Nacogdoches Jaycees, and both the Angelina and Nacogdoches County Chambers of Commerce. He previously served four years in the Texas Army National Guard.
