Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Ashley Morgan to the Texas Water Development Board. Her term will run until February 1, 2027. The board is responsible for providing leadership, planning, and technical and financial assistance related to water development in Texas.

Ashley Morgan is an attorney at Erben & Yarbrough in Georgetown. She has previously worked for several state agencies, including the Office of the Governor, the Office of the Attorney General, the Railroad Commission of Texas, and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Morgan is a member of the State Bar of Texas and serves on the UT System Chancellor’s Council Executive Committee. She also volunteers as a docent at the Governor’s Mansion and participates in the Stephen F. Austin Alumni Association.

Morgan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Political Science from Stephen F. Austin State University and earned her Juris Doctor from The University of Texas School of Law.
