Governor Greg Abbott has announced new leadership for the Budget and Policy staff within the Office of the Governor. The appointments come as the office continues to focus on economic opportunities, job creation, education, and border security across Texas, according to information available on its official website.

Tabatha Vasquez has been named Senior Advisor to the Governor, leading both Budget and Policy Teams. Vasquez’s experience includes roles in both chambers of the Texas Legislature and campaign consulting at various levels of government. She is also a board member of the Pink Granite Foundation and former President of Capitol Republican Women.
Cory Fish will serve as Policy Director. Fish previously worked as a Budget and Policy Advisor before being promoted within the office. His background includes a fellowship at the Cicero Institute in Austin, work at a trade association, and positions in a non-profit law firm.
Fisher Reynolds has been appointed Budget Director. Reynolds comes from serving as Chief of Staff at the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) and has prior experience advising Governor Abbott on budget matters.
Danny Mittnacht will serve as Deputy Policy Director. Mittnacht joined Abbott’s team during the 89th Legislative Session covering issues such as technology, cybersecurity, financial services, occupational licensing, and housing. He also brings campaign management experience across Texas.
Jimmy Anderson takes on the role of Deputy Budget Director after serving as a Budget & Policy Advisor focused on tax and economic development issues. Anderson’s previous positions include work for the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and service on several community boards.
