Governor Greg Abbott announced on March 27 a new round of appointments and reappointments to several Texas state boards, authorities, and councils. The selected individuals will serve terms ranging from two to eight years in various roles impacting business recovery, transportation infrastructure, water resources, law enforcement standards, and disability advocacy across the state.

Among those reappointed is Matthew Powell to the Business Advisory Council to the Texas Division of Emergency Management. Frank Parker Jr. was reappointed as presiding officer of the Cameron County Regional Mobility Authority. Other appointees include Manoranjan “Mano” Mahadeva to the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners; William Carbonara to the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority Board; Pamela Pacher as Interstate Compact Administrator for Adult Offender Supervision; Jed Alton Brown as presiding officer of Webb County – City of Laredo Regional Mobility Authority; Tonya Detten (reappointed), Ron Mullins, Troy Weber (appointed), and Ruben Arias (appointed) to the Red River Authority Board; Leslie Cantu, Marla Williams, Elizabeth “Elle” Holtzman, Jeanie Beaman (appointed), Peggy Schmidt (reappointed) to the Rehabilitation Council of Texas; Clinton Sawyer (reappointed) to State Commission on Emergency Communications; Dana L. McGrath, Patrick Sturdivant, Tiffany Walker (reappointed) to State Independent Living Council; David Criner, Jason Griffin and Rita Watkins appointed to Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.
