Yet another high-end mansion has changed hands in Dallas, marking about $70 million in luxury home sales within a 10-square-mile area over the past two weeks.

The Sharif Family Revocable Trust, managed by Sardar and Rida Sharif, sold their six-bedroom, eight-bathroom spec mansion at 1 Dorset Place in Preston Hollow. The buyer is a trust owned by Tu and Alex Dao, who are CEO and president of Orthomed Anesthesia. Public records confirm the transaction took place on Monday.

Although the final sale price was not disclosed—Texas law does not require this information—the property was listed for $23 million at the time of sale. The Sharifs originally bought the land in 2022 when it was listed for $2.8 million, based on data from Zillow and Redfin. This suggests that even if they accepted less than asking price, which follows recent trends in Texas’ ultra-luxury market, they likely made a significant profit.

The mansion spans 15,700 square feet on a one-acre lot and features neoclassical architecture with symmetrical design and cut stone veneer. It also includes a garage with space for 15 cars. Jonathan Rosen of Compass Real Estate represented the listing.

The Dorset Place property came to market in October alongside several other luxury homes primarily located in Dallas. At that time, a house on Hunters Glen Road with an asking price of $26 million surpassed it as the most expensive new home available for sale in Texas. Other notable listings included Larry Lacerte’s Highland Park residence at $35 million and a Houston castle priced at $60 million.

Despite some properties being listed at high prices this year, major deals have often closed below those amounts. For example, aerospace manufacturing executive Guinn Crousen’s Highland Park home sold for $25.5 million after being listed for $32.5 million. Similarly, Josh Pack’s University Park property sold for $30.5 million following an initial ask of $35 million. Both transactions occurred recently and are near the Daos’ new residence.

Jonathan Rosen did not respond to requests for comment regarding this latest sale.

In September, Sardar Sharif acquired another property—a five-bedroom, eight-bathroom home at 10260 Strait Lane—in what appears to be an off-market deal according to public records.
