Developer Bill Hutchinson’s firm, Dunhill Partners, has sold The Shops at Mockingbird in Dallas to Crow Holdings Capital, according to an April 12 announcement. The retail property, located at 4550 West Mockingbird Lane and anchored by LA Fitness, covers 77,000 square feet and is reported to be 95 percent leased. While the sale price was not disclosed, the Dallas Central Appraisal District last valued the property at $25.5 million for tax purposes.

The sale comes as Hutchinson continues to face ongoing legal challenges. He has been accused of sexual misconduct by at least five women in Dallas and Orange County since 2021. A grand jury in Dallas declined to indict him on charges related to those claims; however, he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor sexual battery in California and is required to register as a sex offender there. Hutchinson is also facing a civil suit filed by three accusers that is scheduled for trial in June.

Hutchinson previously appeared on the TLC reality show “Marry Millions” with his then-wife whom he met when she was working at a restaurant at age 18. Following his arrests in connection with sexual assault claims by a minor, he stepped down from his role as CEO of Dunhill Partners but later resumed the position.

In addition to selling The Shops at Mockingbird, Hutchinson has been restructuring his real estate portfolio over recent years. He sold properties including his Miami home and three Design District sites after being arrested twice.

Observers are watching how these developments will affect both Dunhill Partners’ business operations and ongoing legal proceedings involving Hutchinson.
