Austin Regional Clinic (ARC) has appointed Ryan Arens, JD, as its new Chief Strategy Officer and General Counsel. In this role, Arens will work with the executive team to lead strategic initiatives and partnerships for ARC. He will also be responsible for overseeing health plan relationships, managing the organization’s real estate portfolio, and leading compliance, risk, and legal teams.

Arens previously served as Vice President and General Counsel at ARC for four years. Since joining in 2021, he has contributed to ARC’s growth by supporting value-based care through renegotiating health plan contracts and helping expand service offerings to include ambulatory surgery centers and advanced radiology.

Anas Daghestani, MD, President and CEO of ARC, said: “Ryan has a proven track record supporting our vision, as seen through our recent expansions in services and locations, and his leadership over the last four years. We are excited to see him grow in his role as we continue to make strategic decisions that benefit our patients and all of ARC.”

Before joining ARC, Arens held leadership roles at other healthcare organizations. His experience includes working with another independent medical group, the academic medical center at Wake Forest University, and a major health plan network serving the Carolinas and Virginia.

“This is an exciting time for ARC as we expand on our promise of coordinated, comprehensive, accessible healthcare,” said Arens. “I look forward to working with our teams to ensure ARC remains the leading health care provider for Central Texas.”
